Arandis Branch(VTC) Courses 


After sixteen years of successful service delivery and research, the institution recognised the importance of vocational training to support Governments efforts of industrialisation through HPP. The company and its Board of Directors realised that vocational training prepares people for specific trades, crafts and careers and prepare people for actual careers. Consequently, the institution opened its Vocational Training Center in Arandis, AIMS VTC-Arandis, in the Erongo region with the following qualification offerings

National Vocational Certificate in Office Administration
Level 1-3

An Office Administrator, or Office Manager, completes clerical and administrative tasks for an office. Their main duties include welcoming and directing visitors, coordinating meetings and appointments and performing clerical tasks, like answering phones and responding to emails.

National Vocational Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism
Level 2-3

Hospitality and tourism career cluster involve planning, managing, and providing lodging, food, recreation, conventions, and tourism, and related planning and support services such as travel-related services.

National Vocational Certificate in Auto Mechanics
Level 1-2

An Auto Mechanic, or Service Technician, fixes vehicles and replaces their parts for customers. Their duties include inspecting the vehicle's mechanical components and its engine, diagnosing problems with vehicles and performing maintenance and repair work on cars, trucks and other vehicles.

National Vocational Certificate in Electrical General
Level 1-2

Inspect, troubleshoot, and conduct tests. Pinpoint problems using a range of testing devices. Safely use various hand and power tools. Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Categories (Cat) 1-12

The programs on offer are two-fold in nature, offering refresher courses on one hand and accredited certificate and Diploma qualifications on a medium to long term basis.

▪ Shippers and persons undertaking the responsibility of Shippers.
▪ Packers.
▪ Staff of freight forwarders involved in processing dangerous goods.
▪ Staff of freight forwarders involved in processing cargo or mail (other than dangerous goods).
▪ Staff of freight forwarders involved in handling, storage and loading of cargo or mail.
▪ Operators and ground handling agent staff accepting dangerous goods. (other than dangerous goods).
▪ Operators and ground handling agent staff accepting cargo or mail (other than dangerous goods).
▪ Operators and ground handling agent staff involved in the handling, storage and loading of cargo or mail and baggage.
▪ Passenger Handling
▪ Flight crew members, loadmasters, load planners, and flight operations officers’/flight dispatchers.
▪ Crew members, other than flight crew members.
▪ Security staff who are involved with the screening of passengers and crew and their baggage and cargo or mail. e.g. security screeners, their supervisors, etc.  


Heavy duty Machine Operator Training 


AIMS as an Approved Inspection Authority by Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation in term of Regulation 18. Authorization Number: AIA.21/56. Is offering Heavy duty Machine operators Trainings. The objective of this training is to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to effectively operate and maintain the Machines

TLB/JCB Operator Skills Development Training 

Heavy equipment operators handle motorized apparatus such as bulldozers and cranes, as well as non-motorized apparatus such as dump boxes and loader buckets. Alternate titles for this position include equipment operator and heavy machine operator.

Forklift Operator Skills Development Training 

A Forklift Operator is a professional who is responsible for moving goods around warehouses or other industrial sites. They do this by using a forklift to unload deliveries from trucks and stack boxes for storage purposes throughout a warehouse and other industrial property.
